This tool originated during the early years of Diageo. This ensured that all attendees of a meeting were clear about the objectives. The meeting structure was always clearly defined within a timely framework. This framework avoided time wasting due to “scope creep” while ensuring that the decision makers were in attendance .

A working example of a POST
Here’s a working example of a POST where I arranged a meeting with charity organisations to make a simple cheap technology accessible to the elderly and infirmed.
P urpose
Provide an introduction on how we can enrich the day to day lives of the elderly & infirmed with the use of Alexa, by understanding:-
● the range of activities it supports
● what is needed and at what cost
● how to set up a ‘basic’ Alexa in your home
● set up a Whatsapp Alexa support & discussion group
● explore the additional potential of Alexa
O utcome
At the end of this session you will have all the information needed to set up your own ‘basic’ Alexa in your home with help and support from the Whatsapp Alexa support & discussion group.
This will include how to:-
● Set up & play your favorite playlists, songs, podcasts, radio
station and audio books
● Ask questions that you would normally Google
● Set up reminders for putting out your dustbins, taking your
medicine, alarm clock etc….
● Calling anyone for free who’s in your address book

● How to set set up Alexa in your home (15 mins)
● The Whatsapp Alexa help, support & discussion group (5 mins)
● How to use ‘basic’ Alexa to help you on a daily basis (30 mins)
● Advanced examples of how Alexa can be used (10 mins)
○ controlling & monitoring (SmartTVs, power sockets, lights,
switches, cameras, sensors etc..)
○ set up routines, skills, shopping lists & notes
○ advanced Alexa access (on a smart watch, in your car etc…)
● Sessions review & feedback (5 mins)
